I was always a huge of Charlotte York’s on SATC — I loved her feminine, preppy sensibility. I’ve gravitated away from her look over time. I doubt, for example, that Charlotte would be caught dead in distressed denim (I live in these J. Brands) or my Isabel Marant Tacy boots (still in heavy rotation from last winter). But sometimes, you just want to pull a Charlotte.
Right now, my attention is rapt with this very Charlotte York dress (Antonio Berardi, $1,465) with these stunning Shourouk earrings (on sale for $325):
I died over this. But I’m contemplating getting the look for less with this Anthropologie find ($338) instead. Maybe top it off with a steeply inclined Louboutin ($675)?
And how about this “Marry Me” clutch ($877) — you can swap out the liner to have different patterns/sayings?!
I also think she’d get a kick out of this dramatic wool skirt (on sale for GBP 407) with a classic Tippi sweater (on sale for $65) with cluster pearl earrings (Elizabeth Cole, $168):
Finish with some tortoise shell pumps (still dying over these Manolos — $695) and — sure, why not? — my current dream bag, the Fendi Peekaboo ($3,950):
