I talked last week about the fact that I have been carefully concocting the #minimagpie wardrobe to consist of three different styles: the Dixie baby, the hipster baby, and the Eurobaby. Today, I’m all about the hipstababy–the wee urban trendster with funky prints, mocs, and chambray. A little less frou-frou, a little more gender-neutral.
First up: Neon sweet n swag mocs ($20)!! I’ve raved about these shoes a bunch of times, but I can’t get over the quality for the price!
Love all of the colors and stripes in the June + January collection, but the “wasabi” color on this onesie is perfection ($19).
For a slightly older kid, these crochet necklaces ($15) from Peppercorn Kids are too sweet. Also love their floral print ones.
I know everyone and their mom has one of these Gap sweaters ($19+ depending on color), but they are just TOO CUTE and I already got one for #minimagpie. C’mon. A kid with bear ears? It’s too good.
These Fjallraven mini kanken backpacks ($53+ depending on color) are the urban kiddo’s steez. I mentioned this recently, but I’ve been coveting one for #mini since way before she was a twinkle in our eye. I got her this one in the cute apple green.
I’ve always loved the Scandi kids’ brand Polarn O. Pyret — I bought my first niece a few pieces from their collection years ago. This heart-print striped onesie is adorable ($28). Amazon for some reason has some EXCELLENT sales on their stuff right now — I gifted this insulated snowsuit by the brand recently to a new mama (on sale for $55!) and also got a handful of onesies for #minimagpie that are ridiculously marked-down, like this one for only $11, and this striped top for $8! The quality is insane — super thick cotton. (And this snow jacket is marked down from almost $100 to only $27!!)
I mean…baby Converse ($22)!?! Need I say more.
How cool is this paper boat ($40) as decor in a nursery?!
I’ve heard so many people rave about Roberta Roller Rabbit’s kids PJs. I love this monkey print most of all ($50), although this alpaca print wins a close second (and the set is on sale!) I also got a few pairs of jammies/onesies from the brand Sapling that have a similar aesthetic — love them!
All of the little rompers from River + Jax are too precious — I love this strawberry print ($53), although their floral print ones remind me of Rifle Paper, and I love this one ($53).
These bloomers from Billie Blooms ($34 — more colors here) in various hues of chambray are adorbs. And this cool line just released a set of hip pants ($46) so you can style your own Reign Disick. Check out the whole collection here.
In a similar vein: these overalls from Minikin ($66)!!!! TOO CUTE.
Toms’ shoes ($32). I received a pair as a gift from a girlfriend and I can hardly look at them — they are TOO cute. Almost like not being able to look directly at the sun. HA.
The coolest hoodie at the playground from Purl Lamb (on sale for $29).
All of the prints from Winter Water Factory are super cool, but I love this swan print one ($39) in particular.
I’ve had my eyes on one of these cute wooden toys from Holztiger — maybe the swan is the right fit ($10)?! The owl and the fox are also pretty epic.
Speaking of swans (not shown below), also check out this sweet swan-print romper ($24) from Etsy store Whimzies. And THESE swan bookends ($45 for set) from My Treasured Treehouse are TOO GOOD. Also love their pineapple/flamingo set ($45).
These Gap mocs ($35)!
With this Kenzo sweatshirt ($121), your kid is definitely cooler than you.
UM, this mini pram (98 Euros) is…beyond.
These Donsje Amsterdam panda booties ($78) are TOO MUCH.
This funny little stuffed bunny ($46) from Etsy store Fink Toys is precious. Also, this little travel toy that hooks onto a stroller/carseat is adorbs ($18). That funny little mouth!
I love the funky prints from Monica + Andy — their “cuddle boxes” ($79) make great gifts for showers and include a bodysuit, blanket, and hat in coordinating patterns. I love the elephant print here.
Speaking of elephants, this paper elephant wall hanging from Chloe Fleury is so funky-cool ($54). I also love (!) the flamingo. (And how cool is this brightly-colored basket for toys?!) Love everything, and especially the store’s gorgeous Instagram account. So visually stimulating!
Elephant booties ($22)!!!
And, a few other pieces of gear: this Mima stroller is INSANE. It looks like a Rolls Royce or something…and basically costs as much ($1500). And it seems like just the thing an urban fancy kiddo would wheel around in. (Bethie: I imagine a Mini Robertson in one of these.)
I thought this play gym from Finn + Emma were super cute (i.e., not quite the eyesore that my Fisher Price one is, recommended as it is).
