Midnight

As mentioned yesterday, I’ve been more and more attracted to a dark palette lately.  Navy, black, midnight, cobalt.  It’s all in the mix.  It feels edgy and downtown.  I LOVE the fashion-forward shape of this Carven dress ($750), and the midnight hue can’t be beat, especially glammed up with some gems from Dannijo ($345):

So retro-fab with these ah-mazing Kate Spade pumps (also on my Christmas list — $328):

P.S. – Saw these pumps on the bloggerina behind The Pink Peonies and fell in love.  I attended the same RewardStyle event she was headed to in NY, but our paths did not cross!  Or else I would have stared awkwardly/enviously at her shoes.  Wouldn’t it be to die with this fur topper (Versace, $5,175) and this BEYOND mirrored clutch from Judith Lieber’s new diffusion line ($495)?!

Love.love.love.  I’m also obsessing over the idea of a formal night out in this leg-baring Rebecca Taylor maxi skirt ($225) with a sleeveless blouse (on sale for $149, Joie), some eye-catching earrings (in.love — $78), and some platformed sandals from Miu Miu ($635):

Finish with a crystal-embellished clutch (DVF, $395) and some Alexis Bittar bangles ($225 and up)

I guess I’m in the mood to get dolled up, because this last look is also evening-appropriate: this unique dress ($395 — die over the shape and the fabrication.  Very Rachel Bilson) with these stunning sparkling drops (Suzanna Dai, $175):

Perfect with these bronzed YSLs (such a throwback, shape-wise, to the 90s — LOVE — $695) and this paillet

Alternately, consider this GLAM necklace (gush, gush, gush – $315) with a lace-detailed blouse ($38) and a full skirt ($360)
