As you know, I’m something of a Giovanna Battaglia fangirl. The outfit above stopped me in my tracks. So Jackie O., but in the freshest, most modern and girlish way possible! Those mirrored shades really take the look from 1957 to 2017, n’est-ce pas? Well, I tracked down the CUTEST way to recreate the look, thanks to hip Parisian line Sandro: this boxy red jacket (on sale for $250) with this matching zipper-adorned skirt (on sale for $110). Finish with mirrored shades (Quay, $50).
Incidentally, Sandro has an AMAZING sale going right now, and it’s worth a visit. I love this form-fitting ladylike dress (on sale for $147) in white or red — sort of Herve Leger done right?; this puff-sleeved pink blouse (on sale for $105); this chic printed silk scarf (on sale for $44); and this bow-shouldered sweater (on sale for $137), which I should have included in this round-up.
P.S. This look reminds me of my Little Lady series. Maybe I’ll bring it back a little more frequently? Who doesn’t want to look like a lady?
Ah, Giovanna. I saw her numerous times in NYC when I lived there, always near the museums on the UES (maybe she lived around there?) and she is so very chic.
