Currently, dreaming ’bout..
OK, I promise I’ll stop soon with the Self-Portrait mania, but another one of their unusual pieces has caught my eye. At first, I saw this rust-colored maxi dress and thought “interesting…” But now I am obsessed with it. SO unusual and off-the-beaten path, unlike anything else out there! Even the color is off-trend in a delightfully quirky way. And it’s on sale for $539 with an extra 30% off right now!
A friend of mine was telling me about this new craze called “bullet journaling,” a sort of methodology for list-making and note-keeping for Type A people (see more info here, or browse through some of the example pics below — this Instagram account has additional examples).
I’m not necessarily going to adhere to their shorthand (bullets, squares, dashes, arrows all have different meanings), I was taken by the notebooks that a lot of them were using and found that many of them are favoring the Leuchtterm 1917 ($24) — love the dotted pages. It reminds me of the looseleaf that I used when studying abroad in France.
When I was initially decorating our bedroom, I splurged on these Robert Abbey double gourd lamps ($259 apiece). I’d had my eye on them for about a year and kept spotting them in various interior design books, blogs, and magazines — so when the time came, I knew they had to be mine.
Target just came out with a fairly similar style in great colors for only $52! Love!!!
This chic Ulla Johson just went on sale for $254, and it’s requiring a lot of discipline not to snap it up. I’ve had my eye on it all season…if that’s too steep, I’m SO flippin excited about this adorable tunic in a very similar vein from Old Navy — only $34!!!
I love these wide, sturdy glass tumblers ($30 for 6). They remind me of the kind of glassware all of Barcelona. Mr. Magpie and I also frequently drink red wine out of tumblers like these.
Still so freaking obsessed with these adorable embroidered gingham tunics from Innika Choo ($249). I’m still waiting for mine to arrive — it’s been on back-order for a month! I love the idea of pairing it with these adorable sandals from Tabitha Simmons (on sale for $372).
I know, I’ve featured a lot of espadrilles this season on this blog, but this pair has got to be my favorite. I love the slightly pointed toe, the cheery yellow hue, and the laces. Best of all: they’re on sale.
This denim-effect bikini (on sale for $198) from hot line Lisa Marie Fernandez is too good.
Pixie Market is my go-to for cute little weekend tops, like this fun little pastel-trimmed lovely ($82). A few other favorite new tops for less than $100: just snagged this one in the fun lavender color ($59) as well as this in the red color ($80, plus 40% off). I’ve also got my eye on this $28 steal in the pale pink; this zig-zagged shell for $72; this bell-sleeved top for $51; and this Self-Portrait-esque blouse for $90.
OH. And this find. $13, baby!!!!
Mara Hoffmann is having the BEST sale right now. I had to snap up this star-print shirtdress ($132) and this star sweater duster ($141 — now stashed away for fall). I also love love love this dress and this dress. My sister designed them — no big deal.
