Weddings are slowly starting to dwindle on our social calendars — after 30, they seem to thin out a bit.  But we’ve got two weddings this summer that we’re excited to attend and I would be lying if I didn’t say I appreciate the excuse to shop for a new dress, guilt-free.  As I’ve mentioned a few times, I’m trying to be vigilant about spending as we get our company off the ground, so I can feel a bit guilty when I do snap up a new find or two.  But a dress for a wedding?  It’s just part of the territory for attendance.

My top picks for summer’s wedding guest festivities:

+This gray lace dress is so of-the-moment and yet unexpected thanks to the color.

+I am SO dead in love with the plunging neckline, cap sleeves, and funky print of this DVF (on sale for 70% off!!!!).

+If you’re a short dress gal, this lace one in either blush or navy ($278) is insane.

+This siren red lace dress is nothing short of epic.

+Speaking of lace, this one would be good for black tie ($308), especially with some majorly gemmed earrings.

+For those unafraid of color, how fab is this tangerine colored lace dress ($595) from one of my absolute fav designers?!

+Such a chic take on tuxedo dressing for women — I die over this.

+A stunning yellow maxi ($73).

+Speaking of yellow, this Giambattista Valli is 60% off and would look so adorably chic at a summer garden wedding.

+I’m a bit of a Self-Portrait fangirl, I’ll admit, and I own this lovely navy dress ($530), which I find ridiculously chic.  I also own this gorgeous one ($625 — eesh, do I have Self Portrait problem?), which I’ve filed away for the weddings I’m attending this summer, so I gotta say–it’s my top pick.  It looks PHENOMENAL on. And how sassy and sexy is this fiery red one (on sale for $448)?!

+Setting aside Self-Portrait, my other evening wear go-to is Zimmermann, and I had my eye on this sweet floral for awhile ($630) before deciding that the two weddings on my agenda are too formal for it.  But this ($455) is so sweet and sexy in that pale pink.  And this one in the French Navy ($520) is so distinguished!  And my sister sent me a frantic text telling me that this one is SO my style, I need it like yesterday ($695).  Love that pastel blue hue.

+This champagne-hued dress is not for the faint of heart — you gotta wear it with a lot of confidence.  But hella sexy!
