I’ve already posted on the BIG BLOOMS trend this season, but it’s time to get down to business and make a move on the trend. I’ve seen so.many chic peas rocking oversized florals and it’s about time I join the bandwagon.
{L-R: Chloe, J. Crew, and Jason Wu}
Now, I’ll be the first to say that the head-to-toe floral suit get-up is not for me. I can already imagine looking back and shuddering in about a year’s time — it’s like the power suit of 2012. Yuck. BUT. Little pieces here and there? Yes, please. First on my list? This cheery little shift ($50, Monki) with a funky little necklace ($125, The Remedi):
Finish with unfussy black flats (Repetto, $265, Shop Zoe) and a structured cobalt tote ($59, ModCloth — or go for the gold with this $1,495 Reed Krakoff style…to die.):
Or, go super on-trend with these dahlia-print pantalons ($75, Oasis — ALSO available in dress form for $115), a white peplum top ($258, Shopbop), this fun necklace ($310, Charm & Chain), and white Carrie Bradshaw pumps ($195, Vince Camuto):
Dreamy with the Phillip Lim mini Pashli ($725, Barney’s):
Or, thoughts on a white blouse ($88, J. Crew) with these fun floral shorts (Jason Wu, $695, Bergdorf’s), and this on-trend Shourouk necklace ($475, TheCorner — or get the look for less with this unbelievable find from Ann Taylor of all places! Must.have.)?
I’d pair it with the neon Cambridge Satchel, which I finally scored this past week ($155, Shopbop) and some simple, clean white flats ($32, TopShop):
For something a bit less in your face, how about this slightly hippy-dippy floral print top (Sunner, $211, Les Nouvelles), a bronzed pendant necklace from my new favorite jeweler, Beth Lauren ($48)), white skinnies, and Tory Burch t-straps ($250, Saks):
I’d finish with the Chloe Marcie in denim ($1,325, Net-A-Porter):
Coachello-chic, n’est-ce pas? Or, imagine these Jason Wu shorts ($865, Kirna Zabete) with a white blouse ($200, Very Eickhoff) and that bib necklace I’ve been swooning over in the poppy red ($36, Bauble Bar):
I might finish with these punchy woven flats ($69, Zara) —
— and a practical tote (Anya Hindmarch, $1,395, MyTheresa):
Or, what about this happy little number (Juicy, $280, Net-A-Porter) with some fleur studs ($55, Kendra Scott):
Finish with this punchy red clutchski ($395, Barney’s) and some cheery red strappy sandals ($98, J. Crew):
And, finally, the coup de gras: this darling petaled clutch ($175, GlamourPuss). Imagine it with a simple white dress and some sky-high red tootsies. TO DIE.
Happy Wednesday!
