I’m flying to Naples, FL this week for a family vacation and I am so excited I can’t even contain myself. Four days of sunshine, sister silliness, poolside lounging, grilling, seafood, boating, and mayyybe a drink or five. To get into the mood, let’s swoon over this Kenzo maxi ($710). Pretty much died over everything in the Kenzo collection, BTW. Wear with simple white sandals (K. Jacques, $248) and white shades (Sheriff + Cherry, $155):

If you go granny chic on top, you have to rock a skimpy tank ($98), a great necklace (Suzanna Dai, $365), some pin-thin white skinnies (PS – those moto-style J. Brands I went nuts over went on sale at Shopbop in the white color, and I am dying because they already sold out in my size. Please, someone buy them so I can live vicariously through you.), and insane heels. These Aquazzuras are everything ($785). EVERY.THANG.

For something in a slightly less Lilly Pulitzer palette, isn’t this cut-out dress fetching ($130)? I could totally see Kate Bosworth rocking it at Coachella with a pair of impossibly cool shades (Le Specs, $65 — a new-to-me line of eyewear…have y’all heard of them? Must be cool if Net-A-Porter has them, right? #Coolbyassociation)

Add a pair of on-trend strappy/cage sandals (Schutz, $200…also LOVE LOVE these. Pretty much all Aquazzura does, I love.)

If the thought of this season’s hottest trend (aka the cropped top) makes your stomach turn, please avert your eyes. I personally love all of the looks I’ve seen and J.Lo seems to rock the look on American Idol (I may be the last person in the universe who follows this program…?), but I’m still not quite sure whether I will indulge the trend…it just feels like a trend that only a Manhattanite or LA babe could pull off. Not sure what in what context I’d rock it in here.)
