Call Becky with the Good Hair.

Have you listened to Beyonce’s Lemonade album?  She made QUITE le splash a few weeks ago when she released without much fanfare + sparked rumors of some infidelity on JayZ’s end.  My favorite line on the album comes from “Sorry” when she says “Call Becky with the good hair.”  SNAP.  Listen to the lyrics + bow down to QueenB.  If I were JayZ, I’d be scared. (Also, for those who like hiphop/rap, check out Chance the Rapper’s new album — I love his song Blessings.  He’s a young Chicago artist who is seriously gifted–his lyrics are incredibly witty.)  And speaking of lemonade.  This.

But anyway, I got my hair highlighted on Friday and am going in for a cut tomorrow so I literally want to call Becky with the good hair to find out what’s good.  I think I’m going to get an actual sleek bob.  I’ve been hanging out with this long bob situation for the last two years, too scared to go above the shoulder but knowing that I want something a little more sleek/styled/polished for work purposes.  (Sometimes people think I look like a child.)  What do you think about these boblets?

I’m freaking obsessed with this ‘do but my hair would never obey.  Also, JLaw with the platinum locks — I LOVE.  Love this beachy variation, but again, my hair would never comply.  It’s straight as a pin.

Once I’ve got my bob bobbin, I’m going to treat it to some new, fresh looks for summer.  The new, fresh Magpie.  I’ve got my sights set on the following BRIGHT getups/pieces:

1. MY BOB ON A DATE.

2.  MY BOB RUNNING ERRANDS.

Denim pants (on sale for $132), striped tee ($35), and leopard band sandals ($89 — great value!  They look so $$$$).  With this Soeur basket bag ($95).

3.  MY BOB AT WORK.

Striped shirtdress ($59 — also check out this adorable style) with a monogrammed tote (Cuyana, $265) and lace-up flats (Aquazzura, $675 — get the look for less with these).
