Hello my pretties!  Is your holiday shopping done yet??  (Check out my gift guide for guys here, for mini magpies here, for the leading ladies in your life here, and for just about everyone else here.)  I finished mine up on the early side (everything was ordered by December 12th!) because I will be heading home to DC in a few days and didn’t want to worry about things coming too late or not getting places in time.  While home, my sweet sisters are throwing me a baby shower at our country club and I can’t wait to see so many friends and family members who I haven’t seen in far too long.  (Usually, Mr. Magpie and I are in DC every month or two, but we haven’t been back since early September!)  More on that after the holidays…for now, some things to make your day merry + bright:

Love this fur-trimmed trapper hat ($79).  It’s been FROSTY in Chicago, and this is just the kind of heavy-duty artillery you need to bring in with sub-zero windchills.

I have started to really enjoy giving food as gifts — who doesn’t love some sort of extravagant treat?  These “pie-grams” ($14 or 1, $22 for 2) are just the sort of thing I could see sending someone as a little pick-me-up or even a hostess gift.  I also discovered GoldBely and shipped my bestie some whoopie pies for her birthday recently–so many awesome finds there!

How hilarious are these cheeky keytags ($15 each)?  I love the idea of the “Getaway Car” tag.

I love these Maya Brenner initial necklace ($240).  And more variations here.

Um, these velvet heels are incredible…and only $38!!!  They look like Celine or something…?!?!?!

This Nars stuff  ($30) has been in my bag for.ev.er.  It gives me that JLo glow when I’m feeling the winter blahs.  I have it in the Copacabana color, but the Hot Sand is on my list now.

Lace-up sweaters have been very en vogue this season…check it out in the street style snaps below and most recently on blogger Arielle Charnas.

Now get the look yourself for cheap with this $35 steal!

I love this leopard fur coat ($468).  Full stop.  Channel your inner Kate Moss with this badboy…and maybe pair with my new black kicks.  #freshtodeath

Bathmats are typically pretty boring, right?  Well, not so much with these fun zebra-print bathmats ($88).

Love these affordable velvet booties ($90).  Navy please.

Also…

+This feather-trim cardigan is so festive and adorable ($198, but 40% off!)

+A great last-minute gift option ($129) for pretty much everyone in your life.  Bose makes such a good speaker.

+This turban is supposed to dry your hair in a flash ($30).

+Ann Taylor with the HITZ this season!  Love this bow-front top ($69).

+Such a cute and festive top ($98), esp. with some statement earrings.

+Perfect stocking stuffer ($4).

+For Fido ($6).  I have a weakness for cute dog toys for our Tilden.  She goes through them in a day or two though…
