A few items I’m really excited to wear in the coming weeks:
+This party-ready Aligne top. It honestly reminded me of that viral poem by Lindsay Rush, “She’s a Bit Much.” Have you read it? (“You mean like a bonus fry in the bottom of the bag?”)
+This Tuckernuck patterned blouse, which I’ve already worn. Makes me feel like I’m on vacation.
+This new Julia Amory husband shirt (15% off with JEN-15) — my favorite thing to wear over a bathing suit in the summer (ultra light and airy), but I also love to wear with white jeans. This is already selling out in select sizes, FYI.
+This pale pink Ciao Lucia number. I couldn’t resist the color and shape.
+This white lace caftan dress. Love the idea of dressing up with heels and a little woven clutch or dressing down with flat leather sandals and a ponytail.
Items that are more in the everyday wear category that also make me very excited below. Whenever I’m in a fashion rut, I go to my closet and pick out all my absolute favorite basics and layer them on top of one another. A few of my most-worn hero pieces, all of which play nicely together, and each of which I reach for, week in and week out, and each of which continues to delight me with details, fit, style:
+Sold Out NYC tees. I have almost all the colors, and two in white. The silkiest hand-feel, opaque, sufficiently thin that you can tuck without bulk, a “fashion-y” silhouette. (15% off with magpie15.)
+This Quince cardigan,* my La Ligne sweaters (especially Mini Marins), and Alice Walk knitwear (although I find these are more casual / comfort-wear for me).
+My Celine tortoise sunglasses.
+Barrel jeans — Madewell’s Darted pair, Mother’s Half-Pipe ankles, and Ruti. All very petite friendly. The Ruti pair have the most stretch.
+This statement jacket from Loeffler Randall.
+My Hart charm necklace. (Exact charms I have here.)
+These Freda Salvador flats. The squared toe feels contemporary, and silver is unexpected?
*Note that Quince is running a very rare one-day sale today only, with 88 items discounted (discount appears in cart). It’s a little confusing but they sent me a list of all the items included and I narrowed it down to (in my opinion) the best picks:
01. These Birk-like suede clogs ($10 off). I have these and the Birk Bostons and honest to God prefer these. They are much more comfortable in the footbed / have more support or cushion or something. They run a bit wider than Birks.
02. These lightweight cashmere crewnecks ($10 off) in great colors. A fantastic wardrobe staple. Tuck into white/ecru denim for an easy transitional look.
03. Distressed denim shirt (20% off). Another great staple. I love this layered over a silky dress or paired with white or brown denim.
04. More of an investment, but this cashmere puffer vest is $50 off, and looks a lot like Loro Piana.
P.S. Our lives become mosaics of the people we love.
P.P.S. Not to be morbid, but what would your last meal be?
P.P.P.S. Permutations of love.
