Next up in my what to pack series: Aspen and Vail. I would imagine my wardrobe recommendations for these Colorado gems will work well at any of the luxury destinations out West — Jackson Hole, Park City, Round Top, etc. These are places that combine high-end shopping and food with top-rate outdoor sporting and adventure, and have a hybrid wardrobe to match. Think: designer bags, practical hiking boots. A lot of American labels, too — I found myself reaching for Gap, Doen, La Ligne, Veronica Beard, Ralph Lauren last summer in Aspen. Mix and match with top performance wear labels and a sprinkling of European designer bags (a lot of Prada and Bottega spotted last summer).
