+WISHBONE KITCHEN AMERICANA: I don’t really know a ton about her but Meredith Hayden is author of the NYT bestselling cookbook Wishbone Kitchen and has devoted fans across the country — someone once described her as “the Ina Garten for the Gen Z set” — and I had to start following her on Instagram after seeing this gorgeous carousel of Americana photos. It put me right in the July mood!
+SOLID + STRIPED SALE: Speaking of Americana (or at least lots of red and white), I was just perusing Solid and Striped’s site and was blown away by all the chic pieces. One of everything, please?! Almost everything on their site is 25% off (30% off orders over $500) this weekend. I ordered this gingham one-piece (part of a limited edition collab with the show The Summer I Turned Pretty, whose final season comes out on July 6!) — more sizes here — but of course it’s excluded from promo (my toxic trait). +HOW CAN I DESCRIBE MY LIFE TO YOU? I found this Susan Sontag quote to be a rich journaling prompt this week. Try it on for size — take out a fresh sheet of paper and see what comes out in response to: “Describe your life to me.” What comes first? Just let your pen fly; no wrong answers, no schematics.
