Joveralls.

I’ve been spying a lot of joveralls (jean overalls) on bloggers and street style stars lately, but worn in a new, unexpected way: with frilly blouses or good girl loafers.  I dig, I dig.

{All images, per usual, from Pinterest — with the exception of the last two, the first of which is from the blog ZoryMory, and then second of which is from the Gal Meets Glam blog, one of my favorites!}

I snagged these Madewell joveralls ($148, seen on Julia in the last picture above! — get the look for less with these for $64) after mentioning them a few weeks ago in eager anticipation of ridding myself of my maternity wardrobe.

I had been planning on wearing them with a striped tee and my Chanel espadrilles, but I’m now excited to give them a test drive with one of my new frilly blouses!  I recently snagged this H+M stunner ($29), which will be my first go-to.

A few other favorite tops to try with joveralls:

+This stunning high-necked eyelet lovely ($99).

+The most adorable polka dot blouse (love that scalloped collar!) — so Alexis Chung, n’est ce pas?! ($120)

+Anything-but-basic white poplin blouse from TopShop ($65).  More sizes here.

+A happy stripe from Gap ($59).

+Duh, a gingham option needs to be on this list ($55).  That neckline is incredible!

+Another great white option — this time with lots of volume! ($50)

Now onto the footwear situation: the loafer.

+I love the idea of pairing with a Gucci princetown loafer mule in one of their cool floral patterns ($695).

+Love these cool textured loafers from Sole Society (on sale for $44!)

+The Sam Edelman Lorraine Floral loafer I’ve over-featured would work beautifully, as well ($120).

+Julia is wearing these embroidered Tory Burch beauties in the snap above ($295).

+The Charlotte Olympia kitty flat ($495) would also be perfection here.

And P.S. — for those of you not sold on the joveralls proposition, never fear.  All of these tops would look amazing with your favorite pair of jeans, too.  Inspo:
