After yesterday’s post on getting back to the simple, unfussy basics, I might seem like a little bit of a two-face with today’s post, which is all about the incredible patterns and prints I’ve been spotting all over the place. (And snapping up.) For example, just snagged this heart print blouse from J. Crew, thankyouverymuch. I’ll wear it this fall with a black leather trim skirt or with red cropped trousers and sky high heels — and lots of chunky gold jewelry. Bam.
BUT, I also reallllly love this Elizabeth + James tiered top ($265) — reminds me of the chinoiserie I’ve been decorating with in our apartment. It just feels so different from everything I’ve seen out there, pattern-wise, style-wise. I like it with white skinnies, some sparkling drops ($75), and some Manolos ($595)
For those Paris-lovers out there, consider this quirky Equipment blouse ($258) with a great necklace (I own this piece…#addictedtoJCrew — $135), lighter-wash, distressed jeans (exact style below, by J. Brand, on super sale for $65…but I tried on this pair of distressed jeans from J. Crew, on sale for $98, and was obsessed) and some great flats ($110):
I also love this pullover ($275), relaxed fit jeans, a funky printed scarf ($118), and great flats (Belle by Sigerson Morrison, $195):
Finish with this simple cross-body — the perfect exclamation point ($328):
Finally, how sweet is this Sonia Rykiel blouse ($420) with a gemstone necklace ($49), distressed denim, and these darling contrast-print flats ($22):
Finish with this Phillip Lim tote ($895 — TDF):
Also, so sad that The Outnet sold out of my size in this blouse ($105) — such a great price for this classic cut! — but then I realized they still have my size in this quirky zebra-print style ($115). Ruh-roh.
What are you coveting?!
