We’ll Never Be Royals. (Rooooyyyaaals.)

These shoes are game-changers (Tory Burch, on sale for $206).  I saw them and thought: “now THAT is something a very confident, chic lady would wear with skinny jeans and a white button down and just rock.out.

They give off an air of royalty, n’est-ce pas?  Maybe it’s the satin, maybe it’s the gems, maybe it’s the hunter green, but I’d feel like a queen in these bad boys, and I feel like I’d command quite a fashion audience with them to boot.  Other items I cluster in this “for royals only” category?

+Um, yes…YES, people.  This bright red vesty fur collar thing is TDF ($1,790).  If this was mine, I’d wear it every day of the week and twice on Tuesday.  I’d just somehow make red work for the entire duration of this upcoming Chicago winter.

+Vintage YSL clutch ($325).

+Satin jewel-encrusted Manolos. ($965).  Carrie’d be so proud of ya.

+Jewel-collar blouse ($70).

+Funky spider brooch ($430).  Insta-heirloom for your non-arachnaphobic family.

+The coat of your dreams.  At a cost straight from your nightmares.  (Miu Miu, $3,805).

+Embellished heels ($208) — the perfect holiday heel.  I’ll be wearing something like this with a new holiday-perfect metallic tweed mini (I found it at Banana.  Guys, I’m telling you – Banana has changed.  Check.it.out.  I also love this and this, and have been stockpiling plaid like it’s nobody’s business, so will also need this.) and a yummy ivory cable knit sweater.

+This ornate clutch ($79) is a fantastic and expensive-looking addition to the repertoire.

+A very high-end looking Kate Spade “Lariat Petals” Emerald and Clear Lariat Necklace ($298)

+Dolce and Gabbana pumps ($880).  Ya heard.
