Snowstorm Juno was apparently a bust in NYC, but Chicago casually and unflappably weathered an impromptu blizzard over the weekend. I was epically productive on Saturday, getting a bunch of work done; running some backlogged errands; attending a Dailey Method cardio/barre class; writing; and getting some reading in (currently reading another Ephron book, I Remember Nothing: And Other Reflections
And I also came up with a long list of items I reallyreallyreallyreally want.
Pastel is looking fuh-resh for spring, girl. And this Gucci crossbody in pastel blue ($980) just skyrocketed to the top of my covets list. I’m also down with the blush color ($980), but blue is just so…unexpected.
We’ve been on a hiatus on our home decorating work because we were busy researching and buying a car (and, honestly, just making it through a ridiculously work-heavy month — both of us have been working our tails off). However, now that we’ve purchased our car (currently debating a name for our new whip — my mom called it “The Panther” since it’s an all-black SUV with all-black errrything on the inside — but I had wanted to call it “Yeezus”) and work has calmed down a touch, I’m back on the interior design bandwagon. And have you seen some of the goodies from Nate Berkus for Target? This pouf ($60) is oddly well-matched with the palette in my breakfast nook (blues, greens, and peaches/reds/pinks):
These pillows are also rad ($25), and how cool is this globe light?!
I know, I know. You’re sick of me talking about these Wildfox shades ($179). I’ve been coveting them in the Barbie doll pink, but how about these mirrored ones with black frames?!
I’ve never been one to wear sneakers, but there are so many chic pairs out right now. These Loefflers ($295) may push me to take the plunge.
I’ve been really into Moroccan rugs lately, especially this gorgine black and white style ($138+). Similar styles I’m considering: this one; this one; this one; and this one.
I like it with a leather pouf atop ($205).
And, I know it’s a bit early, but how funky-kitschy-chic is this pepper-print dress ($1695)?! I know it’s steep but it is gorgeous.
These Louboutins are literal perfection ($675). I need to have these, end of story, amen.
Two little knick-knacks I’ve been coveting: set of Swing lacquer boxes ($49 for set of 2) and needlepoint coasters ($24):
This fun flutter tee ($55) adds just the right amount of interest.
