Spring Has Sprung

Easter is just around the corner, meaning it’s just about time to roll out the pastel sundress parade, begin my sunless tanning regime, and prepare for the sugar fest that will be Sunday morning.  {I gave up sweets for Lent, and it’s been a long, sugarless string of weeks.  I have a bag full of Haribos waiting for me, and I can barely contain my excitement.} I’m pretty much thrilled.  Some top picks for peppy spring gear?  First: this darling affordable zig-zag shift (so Missoni-esque! — $52, Spool72) with some funky enorma-studs ($65, J. Crew):

I’d finish with these bomb.com laser-cut wedges (Chloe, $595, Net-A-Porter) and a straw clutchski (Tory Burch, $275, Saks):

Or, how about this lovely (very Betty Draper) shirt-dress ($80, TopShop) with big enorma-studs ($74, Oliphant):

Gorgeous with these wowza Lanvin heels ($1,150, The Webster Miami):

I’d finish with this picture-perfect DVF clutch in either the green or pink ($395, Shopbop):

Or, how about this robin’s egg blue dress (love that sweet little collar — $440, La Garconne) with a gemmed collar necklace ($475, Jennifer Miller):

With a neckline that prim, you gotta bring it with the heels — choose something slightly fierce, like these platformed sandals ($74, Heels):

Round it all out with a structured, lady-like tote ($729, Aspinal):

Want more of that dreamy sky blue color?  Check out these perfect pointy-toed flats ($29, Zara)

Lovely paired with these aqua drops ($34, Bauble Bar), or maybe as a triple threat with this easy breeze linen dress ($225, Calypso):

And finally, how about this breezy spring look?  A mint green vintage-style necklace ($362, Laura James), a gauzy white top ($295, Calypso), some colored skinnies (I’ve been hearing rave reviews about these AG “stilt” skinnies — $159, Shopbop — although I’ve also been keenly interested in checking out the DL1961 line.  One of my lovely Magpie readers owns a clothing boutique in VA and says that they are just flying off the shelves), and some funky white sandals (Red Valentino, $295, Net-A-Porter):

Finish it off with this darling mint-and-camel crossbody ($59, Nine West):

YAY for spring!  And, finally, a nice little gift for you this happy April morning: the design genius behind Paper Pastries, a darling paper goods/stationery e-boutique, has offered all of your lovely little Magpies 15% off your order between now and April 14th.  Just enter code “fashionmagpie” at check out.  Happy shopping!
