Pretty Pleats.

Happy Fourth of July!  Hope you’re enjoying it outside — preferably in one of these outfits with an ice cold watermelon cocktail in hand.  And, maybe thumbing through some new shopping finds?

Pick No. 1: Pleated Colorblocked Dress

How insane is this $148 colorblocked, pleated dress?!  LOVE those shoulder ties.

Pick No. 2: The Leather Slide

I know I’ve talked my Hermes leather slides ($680) up a lot — I live in them during the summer.  But when I mentioned last week that you can get the look for less with these by Nisolo, it launched me into a whole long search for other ways to get the look for less.

These by Tkees (on sale for $68) would be a great alternative.  (Also available in a non-pommed version here.)

Alternately, these by Everlane ($88) REALLY nail the look.

Pick No. 3: The New Shelfie Book

This Classic Style book ($16) by Kate Schelter is adorbs — a great little gift for a chic girlfriend or cousin or recent college/high school graduate, or for your shelfie, or just for yourselfie (hehe).  P.S. — How to style your shelves.

Pick No. 4: The Gingham Top

Milly is a funny brand — I was obsessed with it in my early-mid 20s, then it got predictable (another strapless sheath mini?), then it got boring and sort of stuffy, then it got weird (lots of tulle and cutouts), and now I’m back into it again.  This asymmetric gingham top is SO cute, and on sale for $159.  I think I may actually love the dress version even more.  (Although, you can get the look for less with this $129 asymmetric lovely!)

Pick No. 5: The Basket Bag

Lindroth Design sent me the CUTEST mini basket bag ($125) and I’ve been wearing it constantly.  (Actually, you can see it in an Instastory from yesterday right now!) I have it in the “tan” color, which coordinates perfectly with my Hermes Oran sandals (see above).  Love love love love.  Perfect size for keys, my card case, and my wear-with-everything lipstick, Nars’ Roman Holiday.   P.S. — I also love Lindroth Design’s monogrammed straw bags.

Pick No. 6: The Statement Pillow

Remember when I profiled the ultra-cool Christina Bryant of ultra-chic, artisanal home design store St. Frank Textiles?  She just partnered with hip line Lingua Franca, which I featured awhile back during my embroidery obsession to release a line of fabulous pillows with amazing embroidered statements on them.  You can order them / have them customized by emailing easthampton@stfrank.com.  CHIC.

Pick No. 7: The New Concealer

I know I just did a post on new beauty products, but I omitted an important new discovery, courtesy of my bestie: Lilah B.’s Virtuous Veil concealer ($44)!  This stuff is BOMB.  My bestie sent me some new beauty products for ma birfday (I just turned 33), and this was included.  She swears by using it on her lids to sort of even out color and tone and avoid the whole powder eye shadow game, but it goes on like buttah and hides a whole manner of undereye sins.  New convert!

Pick No. 8: The White Dress

Lots of goodies at Mango right now (this striped, ruffled dress is adorbs), but I’m especially partial to this white dress ($80), which reminds me a lot of Zimmermann (they always have floaty boho chic white pieces, like this) but at a much more approachable pricepoint.

Pick No. 9: The Ruffled + Striped Mini

I loved the classic, preppy vibe of the look above (found on Pinterest) — you can get the look with this skirt form Alexis ($430), this skirt from TopShop ($60 — shown below), or this skirt by Moon River (on sale for $52)!

Pick No. 10: The Statement Necklace

I got a lot of compliments on the statement necklace I wore yesterday (pick no. 1), and it emboldened me to look for other statement pieces to consider.  I absolutely love this Figue piece (on sale for $108) with a simple LWD or button-down.  It kind of reminds me of this Anthro dress, which I LOVE.  I want to have a party in that dress!
