While I generally consider myself the anti-hippie when it comes to dressing, there is a random sub-strain of my fashion persona that gravitates towards gauzey embroidered tops and tunics. It’s a strange attraction since the tops don’t really mesh well with the rest of my wardrobe, but there it is — the black sheep of the Magpie wardrobe. So, here are some looks that bend me just a little out of my comfort zone…for the inner Magpie Coachella Chic look. First, this Suno top is perfection (on sale for $245 — or get the look for less here for $160, or here for $60), perhaps with some jorts (Rag + Bone, $154) and some round-ish shaped sunnies (fresh. — Illesteva, $220):
Pair with simple brown flat sandals from my favorite sandal company, K. Jacques ($245) and a fringed clutch ($118):
Or, how about this sweet peasant top ($110) with mango-hued shorts ($60) and aviators (Ray Ban, $145):
Finish with some classic K. Jacques ($253 — I own this exact style in neon pink and adore them) and a crossbody mini ($60):
Now, this strappy little number is a true Coachella-farer’s dreams (can’t you see Kate Bosworth in it?! — Miguelina, $265), especially with a delicate necklace (Gorjana, $80) and some mirrored Ray Bans ($160):
Pair with these ankle-cuffed perforated leather sandals ($33):
Also loving this easy little dress or cover-up (on sale for $45) with a coordinating pendant necklace ($295):
Throw on some straight-forward sandals (on sale for $124) —
— and finish with this adorable straw bag ($94):
I love this embroidered top ($78) with a fab, oversized tassel necklace (super long, super dramatic — $88), skinnies and white studded sandals ($50)
Especially offset by this sweet embroidered clutch ($265):
And, in closing, something for the home — these stunning silk-screened art prints ($15/each), which I would love to frame in a row (maybe three whites, or two whites and one yellow?) along the long corridor that runs between our master bedroom and the guest bedroom…
Happy Monday!
