Merry Christmas!!! Hope you had a fab one.
I’m home in DC and it is deeelightful. So cozy and I love having my mom dote on me and my sisters to entertain me and my friends so close by. All the feels. But traveling gives me time to track down new obsessions, so here are some things to contemplate today…
As a francophile, I love this cheeky sweatshirt ($49). Speaking of sweatshirts, love this dressed-up style from Anthro ($128). SO chic.
How adorable is Liz Adams of Sequins + Stripes in this double-pom beanie?? She’s wearing this $190 one by Eugenia Kim that is no longer available in the pink; here’s the same hat in cream and pink, though. If you like the look but not the pricetag, I found this lookalike for $26! Also available in navy.
How freaking AWESOME are these matchbox car prints ($25+ depending on size) from Leslee Mitchell? I LOVE. They would look so amazing mixed into a gallery wall or in a boy’s nursery.
I am planning to take on some new cooking adventures in the new year and am intrigued by the idea of pressing my own tortillas — my brother does this all the time, but this press would make things even easier ($22)…and this taco cookbook ($22) looks intriguing to me.
I love the easy-cool-ness of this striped tee with its oversized heart (Chinti + Parker, $150). Just the thing to layer over a chambray button-down or to pair with skinnies and Supergas for a dressed-down day.
These earrings ($42) are THE MOST FUN. Pair with a simple white tee or dress and you’re set. LOVE. Take me on vacation…
And speaking of vacation: for those of you heading somewhere tropical this winter, THIS BATHING SUIT IS AMAZE-BALLS ($310). So Grace Kelly, I die! Or get the look for less with this $58 TopShop steal. OR, this $98 fire engine red one-piece ($98).
And if you can’t go somewhere warm, bring the tropical vacation home by making mai tais or pina coladas and serving them in these adorable gilded pineapple glasses ($35 each).
ASOS has been sort of hit or miss for me on the maternity end of things — I’ve bought and returned like 10 items because they were so strangely fitting. But I LOVEEE this frill-sleeved sweater ($46) — great color, fashion-forward, and long enough to wear with leggings. (I’ve been pairing it with a coyote fur vest similar to this one. Love the luxe look of the browns/creams together.) At any rate, this ASOS find let me get the look of this tiered/frilled sweater that everyone’s been wearing and that I love ($78). I also recently snagged this oversized denim maternity shirt ($38) and it is super roomy and long…great for these last few months, when I feel like a walking balloon.
These fringed cocktail napkins ($15)!!! YAS.
But there’s more…
+Love this houndstooth cardi ($129).
+Such a cool top ($88).
+This sequinned sweater from Anthro ($168) is everything! Pair with a pleated skirt or black skinny pants for an understated glam festive look.
+I bought Mr. Magpie one of these Mauviel butter warmers ($90) as a Christmas gift. It’s such an extravagance, but sometimes you have just a little bit of something you need to melt or warm and I’m obsessed with all the copper cookware from Mauviel.
+Love a simple oxford blue dress like this ($35)…and you CAIN’T beat that price.
+Lots of Self-Portrait on sale at Moda Operandi, including this gorgeous little dress ($225).
+I think Mini Magpie needs this since she’s due in March (dead of winter). And it’s on sale. And I love a good ombre.
+Obsessed with this ponte knit dress ($98). Perfect work dress IMO.
