Hi chickadees!  So, first — one of you lovely readers pointed out that I have been wayyy overfeaturing the OTS trend over the past few weeks.  Yikes!  My bad!  I have had blinders on.  I promise to offer a diversity of styles moving forward.  There may be a few additional OTS pieces that creep in here and there but will be more conscientious about offering more of a variety.

Keep the feedback coming!  What else do you want to see (or NOT see)?  Drop me a comment.

In the interim, 10 things on my radar du jour.

Who knew a little straw bag ($48) could be so chic?! P.S. — The second comes from the Instagram of an oh-so-chic gal who works for DVF.

Is your makeup drawer a hot mess?  Mine is teetering on the edge of mass mayhem.  My overly organized mother would have a conniption fit.  I’ve heard good things about CosmoCube ($185) but EEEESH, that price tag does not make me smile.

Some less expensive options I’m contemplating instead: this set from Container Store…not sure if it’d actually be less expensive, but you can customize the drawers, etc., you need.  Also check out this Amazon set, or this one.

How fresh is this embellished linen shell (on sale for $75)?!  I love the way it’s styled with a crisp white shirt underneath.

I’ve been majorly into this Gucci Tian print — I love this little keychain/coin purse situation ($295).  Such a fresh little pop of pattern and color against a classic print.

Gucci in general is having a MOMENT right now.  One piece I was initially skeptical of was their crossover mule ($595), shown below on a variety of fashion fore-runners.  Whaddya think?  Yea or nay?  I’m kinda into them in the gold color with a flowing white maxi like this or this, sort of a riff on the last street style warrior’s look below. Very funky Grecian goddess.  And sometimes I think I’m too conservative (?) on footwear and should just go for things I love.  After all, Reese Witherspoon — queen of preppy! — was spotted in her own gold pair here.

I thought this floral Stella McCartney number ($1,909) was hella chic, but balked at the cost.

…so I was ecstatic when I found this far less expensive lookalike style from Mango ($59)!

And P.S. — Tory Burch also has a lovely riff on the look in the form of this skirt, also available in a tunic top.

I absolutely love Caitlin Wilson’s punchy prints — I have a few of her pillows in my salmon-and-navy guest room.  I am daydreaming about pairing the buffalo check in pink with this artistic floral.  If only I had a girly enough spot to feature them…

Scalloped edges have been all over the place recently…

…and this skirt is such a phenomenal way to get in on the trend at a good price ($109).  I like the idea of pairing it in white with a Tippi sweater in a pastel/pink and some great flats.  (I’m biased towards these in ivory, my new spring shoe.)

After seeing the adorable blogger behind Sequins + Stripes romping around Charleston on Instagram, I NEEDED to track down her floral dress, as shown in these three snaps.  Here it is, from RedValentino.  And P.S. — TheOutnet just stocked a few pieces from RedValentino at a steep discount, including this (love) and this and — speaking of scalloped pieces — this stunning LBD.

This floral lariat necklace ($48) is absolutely stunning.  Imagine it over a simple blush blouse, or this Zimmermann blouse I’ve been eyeballing.
