Leafy Greens.

No, this post is not about how much I love green kale and parsley smoothies.  (I actually don’t.)  I’m just leveraging a trendy phrase to get you guys on my page about how fetching these banana leaf print swimwear looks are?!  (Note to self: Stop trying to make fetch happen.)

Even since seeing these, I’ve been on the hunt for something similarly tropical, and I finally found the perfect stand-in from ASOS ($30 for top; $27 for bottoms):

(Reiss also has a great set here for slightly more; I’d pair it with great mirrored shades ($229) and a blousy, linen-y cover-up ($195)

(I also love love love this Eberjey cover-up, this Miguelina cover-up, and this style by 9Seed.)  You have to finish this look with mirrored silver sandals ($60).  If you’re into the whole Birkstenstock trend, wear the mirrored silver style with this look. (Birkenstocks are so in right now, but I will not touch them with a 9-foot-pole.  I have seen them convincingly styled by the very chic, so no comment beyond that it’s not for me — though I have seen them done with relative panache.)

Add a white or silver tote (Milly, $350) and call it a day:

Other leaf-adorned items of lust: this tropical-inspired chandelier ($1,150), this bananas headboard ($1,450); pillows ($40 each); romper ($96); wedges (Joie, on sale for $191 — or this similar pair for less from C. Wonder);  tray ($75); cheeky wall light sconces ($180 apiece); and a simple straw carry-all ($26):

Other options: this pair of palm-print shorts, $69; a silky palm-print jumpsuit by White, $498; an of-the-moment palm print crop top, $48; and these simple and elegant espadrilles, $162.
