#HomeGoals.

I am such a huge fan of home design books — I’ll treat myself to a new one once every few months and will spend a few weekend mornings pouring over them with coffee and my laptop handy.  I’ll often spend hours seeking replica pieces on Etsy or checking out the under-the-radar brands featured.  My latest book discovery is Styled by Emily Henderson ($20).

She has a super-fun quizlet at the beginning to help you self-diagnose your style (I’m “Modern Glam”) and lots of great tips and beautifully styled vignettes.  I promptly spent the next few hours looking for new things to add to the Magpie Nest.  The fruits of my labor:

+This is not new, but my GOD do I love the Jonathan Adler maxime chair in ivory linen ($1,400 each).  Expensive and utterly impractical (white linen for a dining chair?!?!) and just too good.

+This original moth painting from Lulie Wallace ($400) is INSANE.  I must.own.it.

+An affordable bar cart ($129) with amazing style?!  Yes.

+This little VW trinket tray is so funky and awesome ($21).

+Etsy has all kinds of great serape blankets in amazing colors for affordable prices.  (This pastel find is $30.

+I’ve long loved Caitlin Wilson’s insane patterns — this pillow is TDF ($70).

+This geometric vase ($34) is gorgeous.  Great gift…

+I feel like prints with gold foil lettering are SO all over the place / ubiquitous right now, but this one ($35) caught my eye.  Would love to hang this somewhere unexpected, like on the side of my built-in closet cabinetry or layered in front of a mirror on my bureau.

+To fellow children of the 80s: does this brass peace sign figural ($165) remind you of Alanis Morissette’s epic “Hand in My Pocket” song?

+Donna Weathers has some rad original abstract art.  This little guy (titled “Party Hat”, $175) is the coolest.

+I mentioned that I’ve been on the hunt for some vintage Portieux Vallerysthal goblets, preferably in white — Etsy does not disappoint.  Check out this pair for $40.

+As an alternative to the pricey Maxime chair above — what about this brass frame find ($149)?!

+These mini pinata letters ($25) could be a funky way to spice up a bookshelf or decorate a little girl’s room.

+Clare Elsaesser has some of the most feminine, dreamy original art on Etsy.  I love this piece ($400).

+Arrow wall decor ($25).

+These Kate Spade vases ($75+) are just beautiful.

+A mongolian fur bench ($1,995)!!! OMG.
