Furby.

Remember Furbys?  They were curiously all the rage one Christmas a long time ago, and no one knew why.  Kind of like Elf on the Shelf, which I understand is the current must-have in yuppie young family-dom across the US.  And let’s not forget all of the other cultishly popular items of yesteryear: trolls (we had dozens of those weirdos — seriously, how bizarre and slightly pervy were they?!  Old, nude, tan men with neon, sticking-straight-up hair…?), kooshes, and beanie babies come to mind.  Y’all, trends are weird.

But all of that bears only a liminal connection to the subject of this post, which is how much I love decorating with fur and animal hides in the home:

Get the woodsy luxe look above chez toi avec les suivants: throw pillow ($171 — get the look for less with these pillow covers from Pottery Barn, $39-$54); tufted bench (quel prix! – $100); dried leaf wreath ($44); cowhide rug ($570); antler trio ($69); fur throw ($99); double gourd lamp set ($269); console table ($469); Ralph Lauren book ($42); horn servers (on sale for $39);

Hop to it!
