Fangirl.

I have been seriously drooling over interior designer Bailey McCarthy’s absolutely ridiculous home, which was just recently featured in House Beautiful.  (You can see/read more about the transformation on Bailey’s blog here.)  I am SUCH a fangirl of Bailey’s and so admire her loud, imaginative aesthetic — she is a genius with pattern and color, and I love the way she blends super-traditional (especially all the canopied beds and headboards and valences) with the super-modern and whimsical.  Doesn’t seeing a home like this make you think you’re a total wimp at home?  It literally made me want to add bold drapery everywhere in my home.

Inspired, I’m sharing 10 turn-up-the-volume picks for self + home aujourd’hui.  Because, why not?

Love this pink upholstered roll-arm bench ($319).  It would look FAB at the foot of a bed or across from a sofa in a living room or even in a walk-in closet.

I’m in love with a classic palm leaf print, whether on a lacquered tray ($36), a scarf ($39!!!), a pillow ($27), or a lampshade ($40).  BTW.  Spend some time idling around the Etsy store Cruel Mountain, where I discovered this lampshade, because WOW.  Stunning, high-end, designer fabrics converted into lampshades — and all you then need to do is pick up an affordable base from Target, like this chic double gourd style ($18-$32 depending on color!) and you have a super high end look in your home for less than $100!  I love this print for a nursery or child’s room (! — incidentally, would look fab with the Target lamp base!), and how impossibly cool are these sconce shades in the les touches fabric!  GAH!  (P.S.: I connected with the shop owner, Lisa, and she mentioned that you can get 10% off your first purchase from them if you sign up for her newsletter here.  Love a little coupon code situation.)

Talk about noisy — is this pom-pommed sandal RIDICULOUS or what?  So loud and so fun.

This rug ($250) is incredible.  I feel as though you could make this work in any room, or bring an otherwise neutral room to life with this piece.

I snagged one of these ridiculously cool Innika Choo dresses ($279) last summer, and I LOVE that it nailed the whole boho-smocked-blouson-sleeve look but in such a unique way.  This label is so under-the-radar — I don’t know anyone else who owns one, so it was my little secret.  And check out the epic instagram of the owner herself to see these stunning little ditties styled to perfection.

BUT ALSO.  Gap has a PHENOMENAL steal of a top available right now for $69 that channels this vibe.

I know I’ve featured a TON of home goods from Target recently, but they just have ALL the greatest steals right now!  (I actually just found the PERFECT finishing touch for our nursery in the form of this pillow.)  I’m adding this chair ($117) to the list.

I’ve been holding out on the kitty flat from Charlotte Olympia for a long while — I’ve seen them styled on so many chic peas and thought they were fun but not totally my steez.  That is, until they came out in epic colors with emoji faces ($525).  Now they are too funky and perfect to ignore.

How rad are these bold prints ($17 each) from Etsy storefront Helo Birdie?!  I especially love this desert scene ($17).

GUYS.  Just discovered the fitness line Poprageous and am dying over this tie-dye bra ($48).  Check out their entire hip collection here — you’re guaranteed to stand out in a sea of Lululemon at your next Barre class.  Also: I learned that they make everything in-house in LA, and everything is made-to-order.  Tres cool, eh?

Finally, I love the whimsy of these pommed baskets ($25) from Etsy store Tala Home, and think I might buy a handful for the summer (so cute with a breezy white sundress!!) and even just styling around the house (perfect for toys, right?!)
