I’m a little scattered today — my little sis arrives tomorrow, one of Mr. Magpie’s best buds arrives on Friday, and I’m off to Vancouver for work on Monday. Basically, it’s going to be the greatest week ever. Family, friends, and a new city to explore. Woo woo! Accordingly, the post I’d planned to run with today is still floating around in mid-complete territory, so I’ll instead share some recent discoveries (decouvertes, en francais) that I’m loving.
I’m smitten with this line — just the right amount of edge and sparkle, and the weight feels just perfect for the colder weather. (Earrings — $328; pendant necklace — $388; spike necklace — $388):
Love love. I would wear that last style with the boucle peplum blouse ($50) I just snagged, as I mentioned here. Or maybe I’d get it in the more wearable crystal…hmm. Food for thought!
2. Zara Home
Zara just unveiled a new home goods section! Though I thought most of their goodies were overpriced for what they were, I’m in love with this lucite folding table ($189), which I’d top with a great lamp ($375), some pretty books ($75 for set from Assouline), my favorite candle ($60), and an ikat bowl (get the look with this set from C. Wonder):
3. Red Pants
I know I bragged about my amazing score of a find at Gap — these cropped red wool trousers for only $49! — BUT now I’m kind of in love with these full-length, wider-leg trousers ($240) for an elegant work look, paired with a dotted silk blouse ($128 — or get the look with this Michael Kors blouse), some sparkle ($140, Loren Hope) and the perfect pointed-toe pump (on sale for $249):
Dreamy with the Reed Krakoff Atlantique bag ($1,495). Important to keep the rest of your accents toned down when you’re wearing such bold pantalons!
4. Fur Scarf ($88)
I’ve already requested this under the tree this Christmas, but I had to share this Adrienne Landau style, currently on super sale (down from $295!) at Saks!
So glam with a pair of Valentino Rockstud gloves (dream.on — $400) and enorma-shades (Choo makes shades now?! — $295):
5. Sophie Hulme Bag
Um, this bag by newcomer Sophie Hulme ($870) is amazing. Enough said.
6. Budget Buy: Leopard Dress
Love this inexpensive leopard dress ($28) — perfect with tights, booties, and a great necklace.
7. Patterned Pouches
Love this cute set of cosmetic/storage pouches ($56) from DesignDarling:
8. Sock It
Socks are usually a necessary evil, so anytime I find a fun little pair that I can layer beneath boots in the winter, I’m all for it. A fun little surprise. And these funky leopard print pairs ($8) from Gap seal the deal.
What are y’all coveting today?
